Last seminar can say to be an eye-opening lesson for me, as i was able to watch the various types of flash made by my classmates. I was impressed by the way they create the flash, and also now then i got to know actually there are various types of flash such as video clip and graphics animation type. The ideas delivered by the various groups are impressing and creative. This is indeed a fruitful "FLASH" day for me.... Really enjoy very much!!!

Article review 1:Gates announces agreements pushing Microsoft into digital entertainment

Gates announces agreements pushing Microsoft into digital entertainment
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/technologynews/view/126100/1/.html

After reading this article, i suddenly remember about the MB362 lesson i attended last week. It is about the disruption brought to technology, which only benefits the disruptors. In this article, it shows that Apple company had actually gain a popularity and recognition in digital entertainment business, as they introduce ipod and itune. They actually diverse their business besides on computers, into entertainment business which is actually very popular among the youngsters. This diversity actually affects those companies being in the same business as Apple for instance Microsoft. Microsoft being the big boss in computer business had actually quietened down, due to the stable and recognized status it had obtained, and also computers had make vast improvements that now people are actually concentrating on micro- hardwares and digital entertainment.
Thus, it is necessary for Microsoft to make a step forward to enter into the digital entertainment business, before it is being left behind. As shown in the article, Microsoft combine with TiVo, the maker of digital TV set-top devices, portable media players and sealed a deal with music network MTV that enables TV shows and other video clips to be available on Windows Mobile-based portable devices. Their purpose is to deliver great software and a platform for partner innovation, so that consumers can choose from a vast array of devices and services that work together seamlessly and suit the way they live." Also, Microsoft had discuss with Sony company, and might be going into partnership with them to provide music and television programs through a variety of systems -- telephone, television, laptops video game consoles.
Hence, from this article we can see that technology is rapidly making vast changes and creating new things. It is not possible for someone to sit behind and relax once they have created a new thing even though they are the big boss on that field, as soon rivals will come up new ideas and create a better one.
Thus, it is necessary for everyone to keep up with technology and not being lag behind. As " time and tide waits for no man"....

First Mb362 Lecture.....

For my first Mb362 lec, it is rather an interesting one... Firstly, our lecturer shows us a videoclip by Clayton Christensen, who is a Harvard Business School professor. He is talking about the inpact of technology on industry stucture which actually refers to the people working in Silicon Valley. From this videoclip, i learn that disruptions brought to technology actually benefits the disruptors more, which i certainly agree. There are many kinds of disruptions like: digitalisation, gobalisation, personalisation, mobility and convergence.
After the videoclip, we also went on to a discussion on what are the features of phone sthat we want, and i am rather fascinated by the ideas mentioned by my classmates for instance: a handphone with scanner features. It will be interesting if in future we have such phones. Also, the lecturer mention that in this course we will be learning html and flash. This actually caught my attention, as i m really interested and excited about learning it, however i am rather worried as i am a idiot for computer as i dun even know what is html about. But nevertheless, i am really looking forward to learning it even though the work load for this course is rather demanding. I really enjoyed my first day of Mb362 lec!!!!

Analysis of my activity

This activity is recorded based on my first day of school. From the information shown, it is basically the information that i need and use for my daily school day. It is either for my daily usage or education usage. And the source is where i took my information from.

The cost and value need not necessary to be the same, as they are not inter-related. Although the cost is zero, the value can still remain as high, as this is due to the importance of the activity happening, and not because of the high cost which judge the high value. Thus, cost and value need not be necessary proportional. Also the information required is rather similar for the last few data, but the source taken are rather different, it varies from watch to sign board. This is also the same for location. At different locations, different information is needed, and the sources taken might either be the same or not. There is an unique pattern in it.
